Music composer Anu Malik says he has become a huge fan of the singing talent in Jammu and Kashmir and feels “stars” will be born out of the state.
The 52-year-old was here as a judge at a singing show,Choona Hai Aasman,organised by Jammu and Kasmir police. “I have come here on the invitation of Jammu and Kashmir Police. Some of the voices I heard are very good. Judging the contestants,I must say we have fantastic talent here,he said. “Through this show,we can have many stars. I want to say that Jammu and Kashmir is a talented state. There is so much creativity here. I want to congratulate J&K police because they have done a fantastic work,” Malik added.
The singer was all praises for Omar Abdullah for the good work the chief minister has done in the state. “I congratulate him for a great job he has done in the
state. There has been a tremendous development. I saw so many tourists when I arrived here.”
At the event,Farooq Abdullah also sang his favourite track Lag ja gale ke phir ye.
Malik said he was happy to come to Srinagar as it is such a beautiful place.
“When I reached Dal Lake,I called a friend to know which song was picturised in the lake. I got to know that many songs have been picturised there and the song which came to our mind was Dewaana hua pagal from the film Kashmir Ki Kali and I remembered Shammi (Kapoor) uncle,” he said.
