Madonna’s casual remark that she would rather get run over by a train than marry her toyboy lover Jesus Luz has left the Brazilian model heartbroken.
The 22-year-old model who had told friends that he hopes to marry the ‘Queen of Pop’ feels betrayed by the public announcement as it makes him look like a fool, reported British tabloid Sun.
“Madonna and Jesus rarely fight but he was really wounded by what she said. He said she had made a fool of him.
They had a huge row afterwards. It was serious,” said a source close to the couple.
The ‘Vogue’ hitmaker gave the frank insight into their relationship to US chat show king David Letterman and the snub left the Brazilian reeling.
“He talks to his friends and family about her all the time, telling them they are in a serious relationship. When she went on TV to deny it he thought it made him seem stupid,” added the source.
The pair had met soon after the 51-year-old got divorced from British director Guy Ritchie during a risqué photo shoot for a Brazilian magazine, where they were photographed frolicking together on a hotel bed.
“He told his friends he was planning on marrying her and was heartbroken to learn in such a public way they weren’t on the same page,” said the source.
