George Michael asks fans to imagine him to be Rihanna

Michael performed several covers during his spell-binding set,including The Police's 'Roxanne'.

Singer George Michael asked fans to imagine he was a “20-something black girl” when he performed Rihanna’s ‘Russian Roulette’ at his Symphonica’ show.

The 49-year-old ‘Careless Whisper’ hitmaker performed at his sold-out concert at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre in London and he joked the crowd would have to use their imagination when listening,reported MTV online.

Introducing the track,he said,”I’m going to do something a bit modern now,this is a song by Rihanna. So just imagine me as a 20-something black girl!”

Michael performed several covers during his spell-binding set,including The Police’s ‘Roxanne’,Johnny Mathis song ‘Wild Is the Wind’ and Nina Simone’s ‘Feeling Good’ – which was accompanied by a video of a topless Dita Von Teese performing a burlesque routine on the giant TV screen behind him.

Former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher and his wife Nicole Appleton were at the concert and were joined by actress Tamzin Outhwaite and TV presenter Kate Thornton.
