Bullock’s husband blames affairs on troubled childhood

Jesse James is convinced his troubled childhood contributed to his bad behaviour as an adult.

Hollywood star Sandra Bullock’s estranged husband Jesse James is convinced his troubled childhood contributed to his bad behaviour as an adult alleging his father beat him as a kid.

The actress walked out on her partner earlier this year after his infidelities were exposed in the press,Contactmusic reported.

James, who told his side of the story in a TV interview said he was the victim of childhood abuse, and fought back tears as he describes his turbulent relationship with his father.

“My whole childhood I never had a chance to be a kid. I remember the clenched-teeth,strained-neck look on his face. He beat me pretty good a bunch of times. Football star, bike builder,Monster Garage TV star – all that stuff is a huge smokescreen so people won’t see that I’m a scared, abused kid,a seven year old,” James said.

“I remember my dad laughed when I hit the ground and called me a dummy…I was a terrorised kid. It’s really tough for me to think about now, because…(my daughter) Sunny’s the age that I was…when my dad broke my arm,” James said.

James’ father has denied the abuse allegations in an email to US ABC news.

James also went on to talk about the emotional issues which led to him checking into rehab shortly after his split from Bullock.

“I don’t think I have a sex addiction… I think I do things to sabotage myself, including having extramarital affairs,texting,over-working myself, injuring myself, doing stunts and stupid things. I do a lot of things in my life that I shouldn’t be doing that aren’t conducive to being a good husband. The affair is just one of them,” James said.
