The movie, which was released four days before the Republic Day, made it to the coveted Rs. 100 crore club and was 2016’s first movie to reach this mark. It earned Rs. 128 crore during its lifetime.
Housefull 3: Akshay Kumar along with Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan brought back the slapstick humour in the third instalment of the Housefull franchise. It also starred Jacqueline Fernandez, Lisa Haydon and Nargis Fakhri in the lead roles. The movie emerged as the clear winner at the box office and crossed Rs. 100 crore mark in just 12 days of its release. Housefull 3 earned a total of Rs. 109.12 crore.
Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty: This Akshay Kumar movie made a strong and powerful connect with the audiences and offered something new to the viewers. The film, which also starred Sonakshi Sinha, also saw the comeback of Govinda in Hindi films after a long time. The movie revolved around terror sleepers cells.
