Love will get a spicy and sweet twist, presented straight from the kitchens of Yash Raj Films served by Hyderabad’s ‘tez’ Gulrez (Parineeti Chopra) and Lucknow’s ‘aashiq’ Tariq (Aditya Roy Kapur). This is what the first trailer of Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapur’s ‘Daawat-e-Ishq’ trailer promises.

The trailer begins with Anupam Kher’s hunt for a perfect groom for his daughter Gulrez who is clearly in a fix as he cant get her married without paying a hefty dowry. Parineeti Chopra is her usual crisp self with a perfect Hyderabadi accent.

Soon as Gulrez (Parineeti) raises the bar to ‘Mr. Universe’, enters Tariq (Aditya Roy Kapur). ‘Aashiqui 2’ boy, Aditya Roy Kapur is seen in a colourful look with short hair and speaking in an apt Lucknawi andaaz.

As the snippets in the trailer take us through the budding romance between the protagonists, giving an impression of any ordinary love saga from YRF, the story takes a twist. Parineeti is definitely up to something that breaks Aditya Roy Kapur’s heart and thus the twist in the plot.

The title song promo in the trailer is peppy, promising an interesting composition by duo Sajid-Wajid. The lyrics are penned by Kausar Munir. The film directed by Habib Faisal of ‘Ishaqzaade’ and ‘Do Dooni Chaar’ fame is slated to release on September 5.
