The web-series Viru ke Funde is a close look through Virender Sehwag's life.
Cricketer turned Twitter sensation Virender Sehwag will play the central character in Viru Ke Funde.
Web series Viru Ke Funde which will have former India opener Virender Sehwag as a host, will be launched on Tuesday. Well known for his humorous tweets, Sehwag will host the 15 episode web series on Vuclip’s video streaming service Viu. The show will have Sehwag doling out advice to his group of friends in a ‘Chai Pe Charcha’ format on ways to tackle situations which we all encounter in our day to day lives.
With five episodes releasing on Tuesday on the streaming service Viu, each episode of the show will have a run time of two minutes. “Life is all about keeping things simple. See the ball, hit the ball! Viru ke Funde is about sharing what I have learnt in life and cricket with my real friends, making the experience all the more fun. I am delighted to partner with Viu which has given me a platform to engage with my fans through the digital medium,” Sehwag said in a statement.
“I hope the show will give you as much thrill as my batting did. What you can expect from the show? Nothing less than a sixer for every googly life bowls at you!,” he added. Be it about winning an argument with your wife or escaping your mother-in-law’s taunts, Sehwag’s ‘fundas’ will ensure that your personal life is smooth sailing.
Sehwag has no dearth of global fans. But his urge to try something new is worth applause. The cricketer has already featured on cricket humorist Vikram Sathaye’s show ‘What the Duck’ earlier this year. So expecting his web series to be much more humorous with a cutting wit won’t be wrong. Watch this space for more. On the career front, Sehwag will even show you how to get your much deserved promotion at work.
