All those years ago, the song told us Pappu can’t dance saala. Now, comedian-actor Vir Das has urged all Indian men — especially the ones who can’t dance, Pappu included — to shrug off their awkwardness and dance freely.
Vir has come out with a video wherein he has requested all the men to come out of their shells and break away from the myth – that they can’t dance. Vir goes on to say that Indian men can dance but need to put some effort into the skill. In a video, Vir is seen inviting Indian men to learn dancing so that they don’t feel ashamed or shy when called on to dance floor.
In this really funny video, Vir is seen imitating various men from different walks of life in their styles of dancing. You might be familiar with some moves, having seen them at wedding functions and other celebrations. Vir has added his own charm to the overall song with different costumes, songs, and dancers. The video intentionally hints at ‘Nacho Indian Man’ – clearly implying that how bad Indian men are at dancing.
Vir is seen wearing different looks from donning lungis to bell-bottoms. The video on every level is trying to persuade geeky, lazy, introvert, shy and above all terrible dancers to dance.
Known for his sarcastic take on life, politics and everything else, Das has earlier taken on the trend of objectifying women in ads.
