Yo Yo Honey Singh’s prolonged absence from the limelight is fast becoming a curious case. The rapper-cum-actor, who was last seen in 2014, has been out of action since. It is being
widely speculated that Honey’s ill health has forced him to take a long break though the nature of the exact illness he is suffering from still remains unknown.
When quizzed about Honey Singh’s absence, producer Bhushan Kumar told reporters, “Honey is not keeping well. He is recuperating and that is why he couldn’t make it.”
When we prodded to know more about the nature of the rapper’s mysterious illness, Bhushan said: “That is something personal. But he is recovering. I spoke to him early this morning and he conveyed his best wishes for the launch.”
Even though Honey Singh couldn’t be present today, it was his idea that gave birth to this single. Revealed Bhushan, “Honey Singh once told me that he read an old interview of my father Gulshan kumar where it was mentioned that ‘Dheere Dheere’ from Aashiqui was his most favourite song. I myself was not aware because many songs were my father’s favourites. But when Honey brough this to my notice, I thought it would be appropriate to remake this song and dedicate it to my father.”
The new version has Sonam Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan.
