Watch Tumhari Sulu song Hawa Hawai 2.0: Vidya Balan matches up to Sridevi’s naughtiness in this charming remix

Tumhari Sulu song Hawa Hawai 2.0: Vidya Balan gets groovy in the remake version of this iconic song from Mr. India, which was filmed on Sridevi. Vidya represents the typical middle-class women who struggles to adjust among the metropolitan crowd. But she definitely proves why saree is the hottest attire ever.

After Tumhari Sulu’s song “Ban Ja Rani” which had the entire focus on the male lead, Manav Kaul, the producers have now come out with the remake of Mr.India’s iconic track “Hawa Hawai”, starring the ever-charming Vidya Balan. The original track featured Sridevi in a very naughty and bubbly avatar. We cannot get over how Sridevi weaved magic over the screen just with her eyes and facial expressions. The diva did not need any choreography of sorts to pull the song. But has Vidya done justice to the latest version? Well according to us, there could not have been a better actor to recreate this memorable number.

Vidya is as chirpy as Sridevi and acts as the situation goes along. The actor, who plays a simple middle-class woman in the film, shows what happens when someone like her becomes a part of an office party. She is not someone who would drink or wear short clothes but in fact, makes it clear that saree is the sexiest attire for a woman and sways like no one is watching. The song also features RJ Mallishka and Neha Dhupia but we cannot look beyond Vidya.

While there is no match between the iconic track and this rehashed version, this can be claimed as one of the best remixes seen recently. Also, it is interesting how the film features songs which we already know or have heard and tracks which have been on top of our favourite playlist. But it is the screen adaptation that brings a new life to these numbers. For us, “Ban Ja Rani” still holds a special place, thanks to Manav Kaul. But Vidya in her quirky avatar makes the film a much awaited one.

Directed by Suresh Triveni, Tumhari Sulu will release on November 17.
