Pink

Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhary, Pink is a gritty, dark courtroom drama based on patriarchal attitudes and prejudices surrounding women in society. The film has Amitabh Bachchan as the lawyer and Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang whose lives go awry after they meet a group of boys at a rock concert. A critique of how India looks at its women, the film was critically appreciated.
Airlift

The film was inspired by the heroic tale of an Indian businessman who helped rescue around 170,000 of his compatriots in the face of looming war crisis in the Middle East. It also starred Nimrat Kaur.
Dear Zindagi

A young girl changes her perception about life after meeting a therapist, Jehangir Khan. Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Dear Zindagi takes you on a joyous tour of soul-searching.
Udta Punjab

Udta Punjab succeeds to touch the nerve of drug addiction problem in Punjab and its eventual repercussions. Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt convincingly play two drug addicts, tangled in utter hopelessness and depression.
