
Taapsee Pannu has wrapped up the shooting of Anubhav Sinha’s Mulk, which is a social thriller based on real-life struggles of common people. The Judwaa 2 actor says that it is a passion driven project about reality. Mulk also features veteran actor Rishi Kapoor who sports a bearded look with a fresh hairstyle. It has Taapsee playing a lawyer.
“This is a film which we all have done with full heart because of the topics it deals with. It’s purely a passion driven project for each n every member of the cast n crew. The energies on the set were so good and it drove us all to finish the film in record time. It has been an extremely satisfying experience to do Mulk,” Taapsee said in a statement.
Taapsee also shared a picture from the sets of Mulk on her Instagram and wrote, “Some movies are made with heart, more heart and only heart #Mulk is surely one of them. Intezaar rahega dekhne ka ki Mere #Mulk ka dil jeet paye ya nahi because this one is going to be REALLY IMPORTANT for our #Mulk. The 30-year-old, who made a mark with the award winning Link last year, was recently seen in a completely new avatar in Judwaa 2, a remake of the 1997 film which originally starred Salman Khan. Taapsee had actors Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez as her co-stars. The film has become one of the highest grossers of 2017 and the entire team is riding high on its success.
Taapsee is hands-full with projects. Apart from Mulk, she also has Shaad Ali’s where she plays a hockey player, in which she would be sharing the screen space with Diljit Dosanjh. She essays the role of an Olympian hockey player and for which she has been undergoing intense hockey practice sessions to learn the nuances of the sport.
