Sonam Kapoor‘s love story with Anand Ahuja is nothing short of a fairy tale, and as the couple celebrates their sixth wedding anniversary, the Aisha actor took to social media to share a heartfelt tribute to the man who has become her rock. With a collection of never-before-seen photos and videos, Sonam expressed her deep gratitude for the life they’ve built together, calling her marriage the best decision she’s ever made.

In her emotional post, Sonam wrote, “To the love of my life, my everything – Happy Anniversary. Your unconditional love and support are my anchor and safe place. Marrying you was the best choice I’ve ever made, and every day with you feels like heaven. I love you more than words can express. #everydayphenomenal” The series of photos features Sonam, Anand and their son Vayu spending quality time together. A few love-filled photographs featuring Sonam holding Anand in a warm hug, while the latter plants a kiss on her cheek.

It’s hard to imagine a time when Sonam wasn’t head-over-heels for her now-husband, but in a past interview with Filmfare, the actress revealed that she initially had no interest in marriage or relationships. It was only through the gentle nudging of her friends that she found herself on a date with Anand’s best friend. “My friends were trying to set me up with Anand’s best friend. That’s how I met him. The first time I met Anand was while I was busy with the promotions of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015). One evening my friends conned me into visiting a bar at the Taj. I went there quite irritated,” she said.
Sonam shared she had no interest in meeting Anand and his friends as she was not open to the idea of dating. “I remember thinking, ‘I don’t want to date anybody. I don’t believe in marriage and all this nonsense.’ But then I saw Anand and his friend. His friend was tall like me, enjoyed reading, and loved Hindi movies. He was educated and nice, but it was Anand who I found myself talking to the whole night,” she shared.
Sonam married her long-time beau Anand in a traditional wedding in Mumbai in 2018. The couple, along with their son, Vayu, lives in a swanky apartment at Notting Hill, London.
