Sidharth Malhotra gets ‘The Lord Of The Rings’ makeover?

One of the major highlights of Sidharth Malhotra's New Zealand trip was meeting 'The Lord of the Rings' makeup artist, Sir Richard Taylor.

Sidharth Malhotra, who was recently appointed as Tourism New Zealand’s Indian Ambassador, is enjoying himself as he visits the country. However, the actor has been regularly updating his fans about his antics while on holiday, whether its jumping off a 300-meter building in an orange jumpsuit or taking selfies with NZ Prime Minister John Key.

However, one of the major highlights of the actor’s trip was when he met five time Oscar-winning makeup artist, Sir Richard Taylor at a Weta Workshop.

Sir Richard Taylor, who is famous for his work in ‘The Lord of the Ring’ movies, shared his views on filmmaking, prosthetics and visual effects, during their meeting on Monday. “Will you redo my face for my next film?”

Sidharth requested the British artist. But, it didn’t just stop there as the Weta artists transformed Sidharth into an elf, with pointed ears like Orlando Bloom’s in ‘The Lord Of The Rings’ movies. The ‘EK Villain’ actor revealed that he would love to play Aragorn in the Hindi remake of the popular trilogy. “I was stunned when I looked at myself in the mirror. It was my best makeover till date,“ he admitted.

“Now, I’m ready for a battle to save Middle-earth with my armour in place,” said Sidharth. During his trip Sidharth also attended a special screening of his last release, ‘Brothers’ along with his New Zealand fans.
