Veteran actor Sharmila Tagore turned 80 on December 8, and celebrated her birthday with her family. On Sunday, she had a special get-together with her son, Saif Ali Khan, his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan, daughters Soha Ali Khan and Saba Pataudi, and Soha’s husband, Kunal Kemmu. The celebration was also attended by her grandkids, Sara Ali Khan, Inaaya Kemmu, and Jeh Ali Khan. However, Ibrahim and Taimur were missing.

Taking to their Instagram accounts, Sara, Soha, and Saba shared carousels of pictures and videos from Sharmila’s birthday lunch with the whole family. The Pataudi clan was seen seated at a restaurant table. In one of the photos, Sharmila waved at the camera, sitting between Saif and Sara. Kareena, Kunal, Inaaya and Jeh also posed together in several pictures. In a wholesome video, everyone gathered around Sharmila as she cut her birthday cake. The veteran actor was a bit surprised as Inaaya handed her a big knife to cut the cake, as everybody sang the birthday song.

Sara Ali Khan had the cutest caption for her birthday post for grandma Sharmila. She wrote, “Happy Birthday Dadi Jaan (grandma). Humari family ki Aan Aur Shaan (The pride of our family).” Meanwhile, Soha expressed her happiness about the great food and the quality time that she got to spend with the family. Along with the post, she wrote, “Full stomachs and even fuller hearts.”

Kareena also shared an Instagram post to wish her mother-in-law. She posted a bunch of photos of her along with a quirky caption. The first picture showed Kareena and Sharmila relaxing in their night suits with the veteran actor sitting with a roller in her hair. Another snap showed her planting a kiss on her grandson Jeh. Kareena wrote, “Who’s the coolest Gangsta ever? Do i need to say? Happy birthday to my mother in law…Just the Best (sic).”

On the work front, Sharmila Tagore was last seen in Rahul V Chittella’s family drama Gulmohar, also starring Manoj Bajpayee. She is set to make her much-anticipated comeback to the big screen with the upcoming film Outhouse. On Thursday, the makers released the trailer of the movie on social media.
