During the promotional event of Udta Punjab, Shahid Kapoor was at his casual best, sporting a T-shirt with knee-length shorts.

Shahid Kapoor, who will be next seen in Abhishek Chuabey’s Udta Punjab, has officially kick-started promotional events for his upcoming film. He was recently seen promoting the film at a studio in Mumbai.

The Haider actor, who has been very experimental with his looks thus far, will now be seen as rockstar Tommy Singh in the movie. His look comprises long locks, perfectly toned abs and a thick beard — which will be a novel look for the actor, who is playing the role of a Punjabi rockstar for the first time.

As Tommy Singh, the Kaminey actor’s body language, lingo and style of a Punjabi rockstar have created a lot of excitement among fans, who are waiting to watch Shahid pull off the character on the big screen.

Udta Punjab is a film based on the lives of four individuals played by Shahid, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh, who are affected by drug abuse prevalent in Punjab.

Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and Phantom Productions, Udta Punjab is all set to rock theatres on June 17.
