Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dilwale” and Ranbir Kapoor’s “Bombay Velvet” have bagged nominations in major categories including worst film and actor at the 2016 Ghanta Awards, which will recognise the worst of Bollywood in the last year.
While Ranbir Kapoor has been nominated in the worst actor category, “Bombay Velvet” has earned four other nods, including worst director, worst actress for Anushka Sharma, worst couple for Karan Johar-Ranbir and worst miscasting for Johar.
Aditya Pancholi and Athiya Shetty have been nominated for worst debut award for their action-romance “Hero”.
Nominations for the most controversial controversy are Anushka Sharma blamed for Virat Kohli poor performance, and his reply to the critics, “Spectre” kissing scene edited for Indian viewership (Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan!) and Kangana Ranaut calling Hrithik Roshan her “silly ex”.
