Screen Awrads 2014 We had fun with the Selfies Project and we’re sure the stars did too. Be sure you check them out!

With the concept of selfies becoming a huge rage over the past year, we decided to do something new at the Screen Awards 2014 – the Screen Awards Selfies Project where our stars would snap themselves on the red carpet.

While the first few celebrities that made an entrance were slightly reluctant, the younger crowd were most willing on the red carpet of 20th Annual Life OK Screen Awards.

Pretty girls Chitrangada Singh, Neha Dhupia, Shazahn Padamsee, Nimrat Kaur gave us beautiful smiles and pouts.

‘Murder 3’ actress Aditi Rao Hydari gave us a serious expression sans a smile. Actresses Raveena Tandon and Juhi Chawla, who were gorgeous in Indian attire, gave us dazzling smiles.

The boys decided to have a bit more fun. ‘Ram-Leela’ actor Ranveer Singh made a mock shut-eye-open-mouthed face for the camera while ‘Kai Po Che’ actor Amit Sadh put on an endearing puppy-dog look. Shahid Kapoor who took the stage for a fabulous dance performance at the Screen Awards 2014 made a straight face as he held up two fingers for his selfie.

Actress Shilpa Shukla, who took away the award for Best Actress in a Negative Role (B.A. Pass), was a big sport as she stuck her tongue out for the selfie.

Some actresses did admit to finding the whole selfie concept absolutely alien, though they had tweeted selfies of themselves minutes before their arrival on the Screen Awards red carpet.

But many of our senior actors also proved to be great sports as they happily obliged to snapping themselves on the Red Carpet including Boman Irani and Madhur Bhandarkar.

Actor Abhay Deol showed off his black eye especially for the camera, while ‘Grand Masti’ actor Aftab Shivdasani cozied up to girlfriend Nin Dusanj as he clicked the button.

Actress Kalki Koechlin, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, refuted all claims of Huma Qureshi being the cause of her split from director husband Anurag Kashyap. Both dressed in creations by Nikhil Thampi, the girls made an entrance together, after which they posed cheek-to-cheek for a double selfie.

All in all we had fun with the Selfies Project and we’re sure the stars did too. Be sure you check them out!
