After Salman Khan recently turned 50 on December 27, the actor’s first hit film as a male lead, ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ has reached another milestone. The film completes 26 years today (December 29) and has been trending on social media by the hashtag, ‘#26YearsOfEvergreenMPK’.
‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ has been well remembered by fans, for various reasons. Salman’s pairing opposite actress Bhagyashree struck a chord with the audience and is considered to be one of the actor’s best onscreen performances.
‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ also marked Sooraj Barjatya’s directorial debut and began a relationship between Salman Khan and the director that would result in a number of commercial hits. The actor played the role of ‘Prem’ in the film, something that has remained with audiences, especially since Salman has returned to the name a number of times.
