The cross-border drama, which is about Bajrangbali (Hanuman) bhakt Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi’s (played by Salman Khan) journey from India to escort a six-year-old mute Pakistani girl back to her village, has got unanimous praise from everyone.

Officials at Eros International Media Ltd, which is distributing the movie, said the film bagged a “mind-blowing” response all over the country. Multiplexes in the capital have reported housefull, claiming that tickets for the first three days have been sold out. (See Pics: Salman Khan is thronged by fans)
“We are running 35 shows daily. Since morning, we have been running shows every 20 minutes and all the shows have been housefull. It will pick up from tomorrow of course but I think it is already a super hit,” Rakesh Warikoo, General Manager, Mall & Multiplex at Spice World, told PTI.
Yogesh Raizada, General Manager at Wave Cinemas, said after the good response today the film will pick up from tomorrow after the Eid namaaz at 1 pm.
With no other film being released today, most of the halls in multiplexes screened the Salman-starrer movie.
Fans are raving about Salman’s “innocent” persona on-screen as the Kabir Khan-directed film made them laugh and cry at the same time.
“I cried as the climax set in. I bet you will do the same. Bajrangi Bhaijaan is a must watch film,” a Salman fan said.
“OMG How Incredibly Great you were as Pawan urf Bajrangi Bhaijaan!! Truly A Milestone Performance and I thank you for this movie,” another said.
Noted film critic Bhawana Somaaya said, “The film had an overdose of Salman’s good Samaritan’s role and should have been balanced and Kareena should have got more screen space.”
Calling the film a great Eidi for his fans, trade analyst have predicted a box-office weekend. “And #BajrangiBhaijaan roars from morning shows onwards. Packed houses/House Full boards greet the new Salman starrer. Trade jubilant,” Taran Adarsh said.
Komal Nahta wrote, “Waiting for Eid ka chand? But Eid has already arrived at the b.o. #BajrangiBhaijaan takes a fantabulous opening all over. Unprecedented rush.”
