Actress Sneha Ullal, who made a successful Bollywood debut in ‘Lucky: No Time for Love’ opposite Salman Khan, is making a comeback in Hindi cinema with ‘Bezubaan Ishq’. The actress, who became famous as the Aishwarya Rai lookalike, says she is happy to be back in Bollywood.
Sneha Ullal, who was in New Delhi for the film’s promotions, says Salman Khan is her friend, mentor and godfather. Sneha is making a comeback to Bollywood after a gap of almost a decade.
“Salman Khan is a mentor and godfather in Bollywood but more than that he is a friend. When my mom was detected with cancer a few years ago, Salman was the one who helped us. Salman and Arpita are very important people in my career,” said Sneha Ullal, who looked pretty in pink leheria suit with yellow dupatta.
The actress says she wants to be ‘lucky’ for the second time too. “Now I am back in Bollywood. I want to be second time lucky,” she says.
Sneha, who played a school girl in Lucky, will now be seen as college girl Rumzum. The pretty actress says acting happened by chance or it was sheer luck. Sneha did have apprehensions about joining movie but says she was destined to be an actor.
“When Salman Khan launched me in Lucky, I wasn’t ready for movies. This happened by luck. Post Lucky, I took a break of two years, still offers were coming my way. And then I did Telugu films and they were successful. I always wanted to become a vet (since I love animals) or a chef. But I knew whatever I do it has to be big. And after the super success of my movie down south I knew that I was desitned to be an actress,” says the pretty actress, who is a successful name in south.
Sneha Ullal made her debut in Telugu movies with ‘Ullasamga Utsahamga’, which was a huge hit. Her next few films didn’t do well at the box office, but 2010 release ‘Simha’ opposite Balakrishna was a blockbuster.
Bezubaan Ishq, releasing on June 26, features Sneha opposite TV actor Nishant Malkani, who was seen in hit TV serials like ‘Ram Milaye Jodi’, ‘Miley Jab Ham Tum’.
