Salman Khan always keeps his word, well almost. Having promised to his fans that he would keep them posted about his upcoming movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan trailer, Salman Khan had continuously been tweeting.
So, he tweeted about the non-availability of internet at the venue and that he won’t post it then. But finally he did. And as expected the trailer of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is, like Salman’s image in real, larger than life.
Watch Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan trailer here:
The trailer starts with Salman inquiring the li’l girl about her nationality. But since, she can’t speak, Salman Khan, as our innocent and ‘bhola bhala’ Pavan, remains unaware about her belonging to Pakistan.
It’s only after the India Pakistan Cricket match that Pavan comes to know that the li’l angel is Pakistani. He is given the orders to ferry her to Pakistan and Pavan being ‘Bajrangi Bali’s biggest devotee becomes devoted to the cause of taking Munni to her motherland and, mark it, without any passport or visa.
The casting director of the movie deserves an applause for selecting kid Harshali for ‘Munni’s role. Beyond the cuteness are her eyes that speak volumes. And yes, she does have a comic timing too.
Pavan’s journey to the neighbouring land of Pakistan is inundated with some lines from the ‘Hanuman Chalisa’, some tears and some army men. He fights and fights them all with panache. Enters Nawazuddin Siddiqui as a Pakistani reporter and does what he is best at – blowing away one’s mind with his acting repertoire.
What follows is the chase and race towards Munni’s home sweet home a la Kabir Khan style.
Kareena Kapoor is beautiful in the trailer and so are the locales amidst which the movie is shot. Kashmir, Wagah Border and everywhere Salman Khan goes seems to lit up. The camera work is worth an applause too.
Kabir Khan seems to possess the rare knack of beautifully bringing emotional nuances to the simplest scenes and after ‘Kabul Express’ and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is the perfect third wheel to his love affair with topics related to the neighbouring nations.
The star of the show is of course, Salman Khan. He owns the frame, the camera, and almost everything in the trailer. Whether it’s the sweet, innocent Pavan Kumar Chaturvedi, who calls the woman he crushes on ‘Behenji’ or ‘Bhaijaan’, who is ready to give it all for the li’l homeless girl, Salman Khan is flawless. He might not have the passport or the visa, but he surely has what it takes to deliver hits after hits and that is his magnetism, upon which ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ thrives.
The ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ trailer, in short, is nothing but a storm that’s ready to take you in its stride. It would be no wonder if it breaks the internet within hours of its release. Even if it doesn’t, the Box Office records stand broken already.
So, block your dates, we say. This Eid, it’s an early Diwali too.
