This year’s much-talked-about film ‘Bang Bang‘, that brings one of the most celebrated and loved onscreen pairs, Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif , together is all set to hit the screens across India on October 2.
Hrithik Roshan has taken an unusual route of promoting his movie by giving ‘BangBangDare’s to his friends, which has created a lot of buzz around the movie. So, here’s giving you a few reasons why this action film can be on your watchlist this weekend.
Hrithik Roshan – I think his name is a strong enough reason to watch the movie. Bollywood’s Greek God is back with a ‘Bang’ literally after his last superhit ‘Krrish 3’. ‘Bang Bang’ presents a brand new Hrithik Roshan, not just in terms of his looks in the film, but also as a person. The actor sorted himself healthwise before being back to his fans. And this will also be his first release post split from wife Sussanne Roshan.
Katrina Kaif: Its pretty leading lady, who looks smoking hot on screen is another reason. Last seen in ‘Dhoom 3’ opposite Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif will be seen doing some stunts with her close friend and co-star Hrithik Roshan. Katrina Kaif is looking drop-dead gorgeous in the songs – be it her chic neon monokini or the denim hot pants. (Read: ‘Bang Bang’ vs ‘Haider’: Not a clash of Titans but of genres)
Hrithik and Katrina together – After lighting up the screen with their sizzling chemistry in Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’, Katrina and Hrithik are going to rock the big screen again.
Songs — If it is not for the plot – then Bang Bang’s songs, which include ‘Tu Meri’ and title track ‘Bang Bang’ can be one more reason to go catch this movie in a theatre near you. The songs, expecially the film’s title track which is Hrithik’s tribute to Michael Jackson, are on everyone’s playlist.
In an earlier interview, Hrithik Roshan had said he has added his own style to the dance number.
Killer Action – Being an official remake of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz starrer ‘Knight and Day’, ‘Bang Bang’ is high on deadly action sequences and stunts. Hrithik, who feels he has always been attracted to action-thriller film, has performed some never-seen-before stunts in the film. In fact, Hrithik has also re-shot many scenes that Anand had done with the help of his stunt doubles while he was recuperating from brain surgery.
Beautiful locales — ‘Bang Bang’ has been shot at some of the best water locations in the world and that definitely becomes another reason to watch the film. Unique water action sequences were shot in Thailand and Greece. One of the songs of the film, ‘Meherbaan’ was shot in the city of Santorini in Greece. In Phuket, Hrithik Roshan performed a stunt where he had to use a water jetpack called a Flyboard and go 45 feet high in the sky and then dive down in the water.
But this is not the only movie hitting the screens this week – there’s Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Haider’ too. So take your pick and enjoy the long weekend.
