Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Bajirao Mastani’ starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra was slated to release around Christmas this year, but rumour has it the movie will now hit screens only next year.

According to a report published in Hindustan Times, since Bhansali is known to shoot on a lavish scale, the movie can take a longer time to process. “Bhansali takes his time in order to get the best out of everything. The film has ten songs, and one of them features all three actors. Also, since it’s a period film, it will involve a lot of VFX, and this process will take a lot of time to complete,” says a source.
