Rani Mukerji and filmmaker husband Aditya Chopra today welcomed their first child, a baby girl, who they have named Adira.

The filmmaker took to Twitter to declare that he has become an uncle to a beautiful baby girl. After Uday Chopra broke the news on social networking site about Rani’s daughter, Karan Johar also wrote, “Am an uncle to a beautiful baby girl today!!!!! @udaychopra !!! Karan Johar has directed Rani in his directorial debut ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ which also starred Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan. Later the director-actor duo came together for several other movies like ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ and many more.

Rani Mukerji also thanked her fans, friends and well wishers for their “unconditional support and blessings”.
