Radhika Apte is ready to unveil yet another aspect of her personality. On Asha Bhonsle’s birthday today (September 8), the Parched actress will pay her a dance tribute. And she will debunk yet another aspect with the tributes as unlike most actors who pays such tributes to legends at award shows, this talented star will be dancing to Asha Bhonsle’s songs at a public venue.

A source has revealed that Radhika, who has acted in various genres in different languages, is an expert dancer. “Radhika is trained in contemporary dance. She took a professional course in the dance form in London (UK). The actor will pay tribute to Ashaji by dancing on her popular tracks such as ‘Aaj rapat jaye to’ (Namak Halaal), ‘Jaane do na’ (Saagar), and several other hits. Radhika will perform with choreographer Terence Lewis. The duo will showcase a mix of contemporary and Latin dance forms. The performance will take place on September 8.”

Added Radhika “If there is one thing I’m passionate about besides acting, it’s dancing. I am excited about paying tribute to someone like Asha tai.” In fact, the actress has earlier revealed that she had taken a break between her films Shor in the City and Badlapur as she was tired of doing housewife roles.

“It was annoying because all I was getting were sari-clad, middle-class housewife roles and I didn’t want to get typecast. So I went off to London for two years to study contemporary dance. On my return, I bagged Badlapur which was different and more glamorous than Shor.”
