After garnering immense appreciation for her sensuous role in a Bengali short film Ahalya and her part in Manjhi – The Mountain Man, Bollywood actress Radhika Apte is all set to surprise her fans with two distinctive releases in this year.
Radhika Apte has bagged the lead role opposite Rajinikanth in Kabali in which she plays the veteran actor’s wife. Rajinikanth will be seen playing an ageing don in the criminal action drama. The film is loosely based on the real-life don Kabaleeshwaran and is slated to release in May this year.
In addition to Kabali, Radhika is also doing a psychological thriller and horror film titled Phobia. The film revolves around a person who has a fear of something as the title suggests. For this, Radhika had been visiting mental asylums, meeting psychiatrists to understand the mental condition and getting as much as information to prepare for her role. Radhika plays the protagonist in the film.
