Police record statement of actress Rati Agnihotri’s husband

Rati Agnihotri on Saturday had approached the Worli police to file a domestic violence case against her husband. “The case is a domestic matter and investigations are under way. Virmani has complied with every request made by the police. On Saturday, he came to the station in the evening and recorded his statement,” said Vinay Kulkarni, senior police inspector, Worli police station, without giving more details.

The police have also said that at least four persons, including the household’s domestic helps, have recorded their statements. Kulkarni said the couple had been having troubles for over the past few months. “In her complaint, she said her husband had beaten her up on March 7 over a dispute,” Kulkarni added.
