After entertaining audiences with the fun-filled family drama Piku, filmmaker Shoojit Sircar is now all set to take the viewers to the courtroom with his upcoming Delhi-set thriller Pink. He will be teaming up with megastar Amitabh Bachchan for the third time after Piku, which bagged him the National Award in the best actor category. They worked together in the unreleased film, Shoebite too.

Raising the curiosity level, Amitabh Bachchan also tweeted a teaser of the film. Big B will be seen playing the role of a lawyer in the film. The movie also stars Baby actress Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Andrea Tariang and Angad Bedi in prominent roles.

While the trailer is all set to release on August 9, Shoojit Sircar and Big B decided to put forward an interesting question to their fans on Twitter with the hashtag, #WhatisPink. Now Pink is an interesting title and many are already wondering what is this Pink exactly? Questions might start circling in your mind: does it stand for women power, is it the code for a secret mission (like Akshay Kumar’s Baby) or an abbreviation? It can be anything to nothing. One will have to wait for the makers of Pink to unveil the mystery behind the word Pink.

The film is a social thriller that reflects on the dubious morals of today’s times. The story is about three girls and their life-changing experiences.
From the makers of Vicky Donor, Madras Café and Piku, produced by Shoojit Sircar, Ronnie Lahiri and Rashmi Sharma, Pink is directed by renowned Bengali director Aniruddha Roy Chaudhary.
