Mohit Chauhan Health Update: Popular singer Mohit Chauhan recently faced a minor stage accident. Fortunately, he was unharmed, and like a true sport, he completed his entire set at AIIMS Bhopal before leaving the stage.
A viral video doing the rounds online shows Mohit singing the popular track “Nadaan Parindey” from Rockstar on the stage at AIIMS Bhopal. However, during his performance, while walking, Mohit tripped over something and fell on the stage. The crew rushed towards him to check if the singer is okay. But in no time, Chauhan was back on his feet and resumed his performance.
Mohit Chauhan sang famous tracks like “Sadda Haq” from Rockstar, “Tum Se Hi” from Imtiaz’s 2009 seminal romantic comedy Jab We Met, and “Ilahi” from Ayan Mukerji’s 2013 hit rom-com Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani during his performance at AIIMS Bhopal. Chauhan hasn’t released an official statement on the stage accident yet.

While a large section of the internet showed concern for the singer’s well-being, another section couldn’t help but rain puns in the comments section of the post. An Instagram user commented on the viral video, “Khud se na, bach payega tu,” a line from “Nadaan Parindey”, the song that Mohit Chauhan was singing when he fell down. Many even referred to Chauhan as a “nadaan parinda” (foolish bird). “Phir Se Gir Chala,” commented another user, referring to another popular Mohit Chauhan song from Rockstar — “Phir Se Udd Chala”.
But other Instagram users slammed those joking about the incident. One of them wrote, “Don’t laugh. We lost KK, Zubeen (Garg) and more. Let’s keep these diamonds very carefully and respectfully! They are the pride of India. Those who are laughing hard, just imagine your father in his place!” “Hope he is well. At least he wasn’t lip syncing,” commented another user. “This proves he is one of the finest singers who actually sing live on stage,” read a third comment.
In a recent interview with SCREEN, Mohit Chauhan had opened up on working on Rockstar with composer AR Rahman. “For one year, Imtiaz, Irshad (Kamil, lyricist), Imtiaz and I would go to Chennai, record a song, stay there for a week, and come back. Ranbir used to be around all the time because he was playing the character of a singer and a musician. So, it was very important for him to observe how we hold the mic and sing the song. He’s very dedicated that way. He also emoted the songs on the screen very powerfully. That’s why the songs are so effective. That’s why they’ve become a cult and a legend today. It was a collaborative effort,” said Chauhan.
