Akshay Kumar's Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue and Varun Sharma-Richa Chadha's Fukrey 3, benefitted from low ticket pricing on Friday. However, on Saturday, both films struggled to make money as the ticket prices returned to normal. On Saturday, Mission Raniganj earned Rs 2.05 crore (early estimates), according to industry tracker Sacnilk. This is a big dip, considering on Friday, the film earned Rs 5 crore. At the end of its ninth day in theatres, the film's net domestic collection in India was recorded at Rs 25.05 crore. The film, with an ensemble lineup of prolific actors such as Pankaj Tripathi and Richa Chadha, has earned Rs 87.79 crore until now. The film, directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, also stars Parineeti Chopra in the lead. Whereas, Fukrey 3, is the third installment in the popular Fukrey franchise and brings back the loved characters of Bholi Panjaban, Choocha, Hunny, Laali and Pandit ji. Both the films have managed to get shows in theatres, as opposed to director Vivek Agnihotri's The Vaccine War, which was released on the same day as Fukrey 3. It couldn't draw the audience to the theatres at all. Fukrey 3 and Mission Raniganj still have a week's time to have the audience's attention to themselves as Kangana Ranaut's Tejas, and Tiger Shroff's Ganpath: A Born Hero will release on October 20, giving moviegoers more options.
