Madhuri Dixit, Anupam Kher celebrate 25 years of ‘Dil’

Madhuri, 48, who got her first Filmfare Best Actress Award for her role as a college-going girl, took to twitter to share her excitement.

Madhuri, who became a superstar after the film, wrote.

The “Dedh Ishqiya” star also thanked her co-star Aamir Khan and director Indra Kumar.

Kher, who essayed the role of Aamir Khan’s father, said the film is close to his heart.

Released on June 22, 1990, the romantic drama was one of the biggest musical blockbusters of that era.

“Dil” was remade in Telugu in 1993 under the title “Tholi Muddhu”, starring Divya Bharti and Prashanth in the leading roles.
