American dancer and actress Lauren Gottlieb will use her her craft to bring smiles to the faces of a group of underprivileged girls in Mumbai, and naturally, she’s beaming about it.
One of Lauren’s close friends, who works with underprivileged girls, asked Lauren if she could teach those girls how to dance. And, without much thought, Lauren agreed.
Lauren has promised that she will take time out from her busy schedule to teach these girls some great dance moves every week. The NGO is based in Mumbai, it is called Young Guns society. she would start the classes from 1st week of June.
“I feel great that I have been blessed with a talent and I want to make full use of it by passing it onto those who don’t have all the access they deserve to certain kind of a knowledge. It is a best feeling to give back specially to those who don’t have the knowledge and the resources to learn something new,” Lauren said.
Lauren was one of the contestants on the third season of the dance reality show So You Think You Can Dance. She then shot to fame with Remo D’Souza’s dance-based film ABCD, with which she made her Bollywood debut. She also played a pivotal role in the sequel. The 27-year-old was also one of the contestants on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 6 with Punit Pathak. She was then seen judging the eighth season of the reality dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Reloaded, alongwith Karan Johar, Shahid Kapoor and Ganesh Hegde.
