Actor Farhan Akhtar has cleared air around whether or not Kriti Sanon is involved with his upcoming film Lucknow Central, which is being produced by Nikhil Advani. There have been rumours for the past few days that Kriti, who was supposed to play the lead in the movie, has opted out of it citing date issues and Mirzya fame actor Saiyami Kher has replaced her.
When asked about the development, film’s lead star Farhan told indianexpress.com, “I know that there were some date issues with Kriti because the film which she was doing has got postponed so the dates couldn’t work out. But I don’t know who has been confirmed yet so I don’t want to jump the gun and make a comment. Nikhil Advani should be asked about it as he is the producer.”
Lucknow Central will be Farhan’s next acting project after the recently released Rock On 2. The actor-filmmaker will reportedly be seen in the role of a prisoner in the movie.
Farhan, however, is not too keen on divulging details about his character. So, when asked about it, all he said was, “I do play somebody who is incarcerated for a while. We will start shooting mid-January.”
The comedy will mark the directorial debut of Ranjit Tiwari, who has worked as an assistant director to Nikhil Advani.
