Director Nitya Mehra, who makes her debut with film Baar Baar Dekho, says that her film is complex, but at the same time, a very simple and beautiful story about love and life.
The story then takes a turn when Jai suddenly starts ageing – 10 days on the first day, two years on the second day and 16 years on the third day – and worries if he will die on the fourth day and then has to clear the mystery surrounding the strange process of ageing.
Asked about the complex turn of events in the film, at the unveiling of the trailer, Nitya said: “It is complex but that is what was so exciting about it. I wouldn’t take out something that’s so simple, otherwise, that’d be boring. But also, we have just packaged it in an interesting way, but actually, it is a very simple story.
“It is a beautiful story about love and life, it is very simple and sweet, very understandable, it’s not like it is some sci-fi, time travel film at all. It is really about the small moments in life and if you don’t pay attention, your life will pass you by and not much will be left.”
Baar Baar Dekho has been produced by Karan Johar, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.
Earlier, Baar Baar Dekho trailer starring Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra was released and got lots more to hit headline post its hit number Kala Chashma and the sizzling hot bikini image of Katrina (woot, woot, woot).
