Actor Katrina Kaif has been steadily dismantling her glamorous image over the years. Her focus has shifted towards selecting roles that offer substance and depth, aiming to break her free from all the stereotypes. In a recent interview, the actor reiterated her commitment to these choices and disclosed that she opted for her latest project, Sriram Raghavan’s Merry Christmas, precisely because it presented her in a new and refreshing light.
Speaking to Mid Day, she said, “I want to portray myself in a new way. The reason behind that is that I don’t want to repeat myself too much anymore because, in certain scenarios, I am feeling bored of myself. If I am feeling bored of myself, I’m pretty sure the audience is going to be feeling bored. If I’m feeling repetitive, they’re going to feel it repetitive.”
Katrina’s latest venture, Merry Christmas, garnered both critical acclaim and audience appreciation. Starring alongside Vijay Sethupathi, their unconventional pairing proved to be a refreshing success, with both actors praised for their chemistry and performances. Prior to Merry Christmas, Katrina’s role in Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 franchise also earned her accolades, showcasing her versatility beyond the typical Bollywood masala flick.
