Kartik Aaryan reacts to rising entourage costs of actors: ‘I feel it was blown out of proportion’

Despite being an outsider, Kartik Aaryan has created a space for himself in the Hindi film industry. After marking his debut with the romantic comedy Pyaar Ka Punchnama in 2011, the actor went on to star in many other successful films, including Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, and Luka Chuppi, among others. He is currently basking in the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, a fan favourite horror-comedy franchise. During his appearance at SCREEN Live in Mumbai today, Kartik opened up about the rising entourage costs of actors, leading to more strain on film producers.

During the session, Kartik shared that every actor does not function the same way, and the whole scenario was blown out of proportion. He said, “A lot of the times, these things are blown out of proportion. Even if one or two people have such habits, people think everyone is doing the same. We are very mindful about such things, be it our entourage fees or business of the film.”

The actor added, “Everyone wants their film to make profits, and the whole team should get paid an appropriate amount. No one should get less money. When there were so many rumours coming up about entourage fees recently, I felt that it was blown out of proportion.”

Kartik Aaryan also revealed that he is very mindful about his entourage costs and ensures that everyone is happy. “This is not something that exists with every personality or actor that you see right now. It might be happening with some people, but not everyone. As for me, I always try that my whole team as well as the producers should be happy in paying their amounts.”

On the professional front, Kartik was last seen in Aneez Bazmee’s blockbuster Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. He has movies like Aashiqui 3 and Tu Meri Main Tera Main Teri Tu Mera in the pipeline.
