Karan Deol marked his entry into Bollywood with the 2019 film Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, directed by his father and actor Sunny Deol. The movie failed to make a significant impact at the box office and was labeled a flop. In a recent interview, Karan opened up about the experience of his first movie and addressed the challenges faced by actors from film families, acknowledging that there’s often a tendency to criticise them.
Speaking with ETimes, Karan shared that his father, Sunny Deol, took 22 years to achieve the level of success he has now attained with his recent film Gadar 2. Karan cited his father’s journey as a source of inspiration for his own patience in the film industry. He acknowledged the fierce competition within the industry and the necessity for everyone to prove themselves. Karan also revealed that he’s currently in a phase of seeking work and, though the waiting can be frustrating, he’s learning to be patient. “I’m still struggling and looking for work,” he said.
