‘Rangoon’, which is set in the World War II era, will see all three lead actors, Kangana Ranaut, Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor sport vintage looks. It is believed that Shahid Kapoor plays a soldier while Saif Ali Khan his mentor in this period drama that will be helmed by ‘Haider’ director Vishal Bhardwaj.
Kangana Ranaut, who plays an actress in Rangoon, will be sporting a look inspired from legendary Hollywood actress, Marilyn Monroe. Confirming the same Kangana said: “Dolly(Ahluwalia) is designing my look. It will have a very vintage feel given that the movie is era-specific. My look will be similar to Marilyn Monroe’s style where I will sport waves in my hair and wear deep necked outfits. Since it’s a larger than life kind of a role, it will be very glamorous.”
‘Rangoon’ brings back Vishal Bhardwaj and two of his favourite actors Saif and Shahid together for the first time. Kangana, who is working with Vishal for the first time, is visibly excited to be directed by him.
“I was looking forward to work with Vishalji for the longest. Sometimes you get good directors but not good scripts. Here both are the best. The role that I have in Rangoon is an amazing one,” she said.
While Kangana has met Shahid, she is looking forward to meeting Saif soon. “Shahid and I have interacted but I am yet to meet Saif. We will start with our workshop soon for the movie,” shared Kangana, who will be next seen in Katti Batti.
