Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin’s satirical video on the rise in rapes across India titled ‘It’s Your Fault’ has gone viral and the video which was posted on September 19 has got over 7 lakh hits on youtube.
The video,which also features VJ Juhi Pandey has gone viral on almost all social networking sites.
In the satirical video,Kalki Koechlin,along with Juhi take the blame of rape incidents on themselves saying I am at fault.
The video starts with Kalki Koechlin who says “Ladies,do you think rape is something men do out of a desire for control empowered by years of patriarchy. You clearly been mislead by the notion that women are people too,because let’s face it ladies. Rape,It’s your Fault.”

The video targets all the stereotypes and statement made by top politicians and others like controversial self styled godman Asaram,after the December 16,Delhi gangrape incident.
Kalki’s video targets irresponsible remarks made by politicians,self styled godmen.
Kalki and Juhi,who are smiling throughout the video,tell us rape is inevitable if women wear short clothes,,use cellphones as they misguide women etc.
She also tells you how a rape can be avoided – if you call your molestor “bhaiya” – refering to Asaram‘s shocking statement made last year.
A group of four standup comedians,called “AIB”,have made the satirical video under the campaign “It’s Your Fault”,in the wake of several cases of sexual assault and violence against women in India.
The four people who have come up with the video are Tanmay Bhat,Gursimran Khamba,Rohan Joshi and Ashish Shakya.
The group on YouTube said,”Every sexual assault case in India inspires a string of stupid and hateful remarks against women. This is our response to those remarks.”
