Irrfan Khan decided to make an exit from Vashu Bhagnani’s film Welcome To Karachi at the last moment (owing to some creative differences), despite the fact that the film was launched with much fanfare recently. And now it seems that Jackky Bhagnani has come to rescue for his father’s production.

Vashu Bhagnani made no qualms in expressing his disappointment when Irrfan Khan left the team of Welcome To Karachi stranded in London after he refused to fly to UK to complete the shoot schedule citing date issues. Vashu further even had mentioned that it will be too difficult for him to find a new actor who could fill in for Irrfan Khan at the last moment and the producer was also miffed about the losses he will be incurring if the team had to wait to complete the schedule in London. However, Jackky Bhagnani who was last seen in Youngistaan, is more than happy to act in his father’s film since he is yet to start the new project after his previous film.

We hear that Jackky will play the role of a sailor in the film. Welcome To Karachi is a satire about two Indians who get stranded in Karachi without any proper documents and their journey.

Produced under the banner Puja Entertainment and directed by Ashish R. Mohan, Welcome To Karachi also stars Arshad Warsi. Arshad Warsi and Jackky Bhagnani were previously seen in F.A.L.T.U, the directorial debut of Remo D’Souza. In fact the two will be doing yet another film together which will be produced by Arshad himself under the banner Shooting Stars.
