After a major goof-up of misspelling Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai’s name as “Masala” in a tweet last year, actor Jackky Bhagnani has come up with a video to wish the Pakistani activist on her birthday.
Malala, who will turn 18 on July 12, was shot by a Taliban gunman in 2012 She won the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize along with Indian children’s rights activist Kailash Satyarthi.
In the video, titled “Ye Malala Ke Baare Mein Hai, Masala Ke Baare Mein Nahi!”, the “Youngistaan” star accepts his mistake and explains the difference between the words “nobel” and “noble” to a group of children.
Later in the six-minute video, the actor wishes Yousafzai a “Happy Birthday” and highlights her contribution towards children’s education rights and her struggle for education.
The day when Yousafzai was presented with the Nobel Peace Prize, Jackky had tweetd, “Such good news to hear about masala and the noble peace price. My speech in #Youngistaan was inspired by her.”
