A disappointed Meezan wrote, “There were a few members of @mumbaipolice who said if we’d like to help then we should print out chits and distribute them so that we can distribute supplies in a systematic way. I decided to ask my friends for help and to my surprise not even one came forward. It got me extremely upset to see that people go out and spend thousands/lakhs on a dinner or a party or alcohol or drugs or shopping or whatever it is. But people refused to give Rs.4000 for a families food ration for a month. Im not trying to preach and honestly didn’t want to tell anyone anything anymore as this had really upset me.”
He went on to reveal that he organised 200 ration packets and urged everybody to help in whatever way possible. He added, “We then went the next day to distribute the chits we had printed and on personally going there and seeing the state these people are living in gave me a reality check and got me more adamant to continue this task.”
Meezaan made his acting debut with the film Malaal. He was also seen in Hungama 2.
