Meghna Gulzar’s forthcoming directorial venture, ‘Talvar’, based on the controversial Aarushi Talwar murder case will be screened and debated in law colleges.
Unlike the usual trend of screening the film a day prior to its release, the makers of ‘Talvar’ have been hosting screenings all over the country, to utilise the tool of word-of-mouth.
In another unique strategy, the makers will now screen the Irrfan Khan-Konkona Sen Sharma starrer in law schools across Pune, Mumbai and Bangalore.
As Meghna Gulzar desires that the film opens up the debate on the controversial case, the makers feel law schools are a great platform to showcase the film. Law Colleges across India have been sending requests to the makers of Talvar to conduct debates in their colleges on the controversial subject of the Aarushi Talwar murder case.
‘Talvar’ was recently premiered at the Toronto International film festival where the movie received a rousing response.
‘Talvar’, which is co-produced by Vishal Bhardwaj, releases on October 2
