Samantha Ruth Prabhu and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru managed to keep rumours about their relationship under wraps for a long time. But on Monday, the couple tied the knot and Samantha herself took to social media to share photos of their private ceremony at Sadhguru’s Isha Foundation in Coimbatore. Now, Samantha’s friend Shilpa Reddy has shared inside photos from the celebration.
The photos show Shilpa posing with the couple as they are seen sitting with garlands and beautiful decorations behind them. Another photo shows Shilpa kissing the bride Samantha on her forehead. The newly married couple also got caught in an adorable moment, looking at each other in awe. In the following photos, Shilpa shared a glimpse of the simple South Indian food feast arranged for the guests.
Other photos show ceremonial arrangements like turmeric-coated coconuts, betel leaves, kumkum, fresh flowers, and other sacred items needed for the rituals — everything placed neatly for the puja and wedding festivities.
While fans wish Samantha on her big day, many have noticed how the actor is seen wearing the same engagement ring in February that she wore on her wedding day. Back in February, she posted a carousel and the first photo showed her flaunting a huge petal-cut diamond ring — the same one that she wore at her wedding. Her wedding photos show Raj placing a huge diamond ring on her finger.
Soon, fans spotted how she posted on February 13, just ahead of Valentine’s Day, photos wearing the same ring. She wore a pink outfit in the photo and was seen smiling at the person behind the camera — with the same ring clearly visible on her finger.
Raj Nidimoru was earlier married to Shhyamali De and they were married for 7 years before they parted ways in 2022. Days before Samantha and Raj’s wedding, Shhyamali shared a note on Instagram that read, “Through the bond of past debts (runānubandha), one becomes connected with pets, spouse, children, and home. When those karmic debts are exhausted, those relationships come to an end, and with them, the associated joys and sorrows cease.”
A jewellery expert called Samantha’s ring a “rare collector piece”. He also shared that the ring might be Rs 1.5 crore. “This ring can easily be valued around Rs 1.5 crore.” He added, “Only a few workshops in the world cut and assemble portrait diamonds at this level.”
