Jacqueline Fernandez put up a stunning show at the IIFA 2015 Awards on Sunday (June 7) night despite having an injured leg. ‘Kick’ actress didn’t want to hold back her performance and disappoint her fans at the starry night in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
It was while rehearsing for her performance a day before the main awards show, when Jacqueline met with a leg injury, but yet continued to dance. It was later that she realised the severity of the injury. She had sprained her left leg.
A doctor was called in to see her, who prescribed the actress pain killers. Jacqueline also insisted on sticking to the challenging steps that she had rehearsed with the crew, whereas the doctor had advised her to switch to easy choreography.
A source said: “Jacqueline has been really excited to perform at IIFA, especially since it is being held in Malaysia and being half Malaysian, Jacqueline has a huge fan following there – Despite being advised rest or opting for easier dance steps, Jacqueline insisted on sticking to the original choreography since she didn’t want to disappoint her fans.”
“Jacqueline’s mother and sister too watched her perform live for the first time and she was happy that things went off well,” added the source.
