I was considered for ‘Happy New Year’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan: Ankita Lokhande

“I was considered for this role,so it is a good thing. It is unfortunate it couldn’t happen. I don’t know why things did not work out. I think there is a prejudice against TV actors. I was working on TV,and if I was considered for it is a big thing,” Ankita told PTI.

Directed by choreographer-director Farah Khan,’Happy New Year’ also stars Abhishek Bachchan and Boman Irani in prominent roles.

The film revolves around a bunch of male friends and how situation forces them to participate in a dance competition.

The female lead will apparently play the role of a bar dancer,who will help these friends win the dance trophy.

In her popular TV show ‘Pavitra Rishta’,Ankita plays a double role.

“It is difficult to portray a double role,change your character twice. It is tiring. I am working hard on it,” she added.
