In a rare and yet sporting gesture, Hrithik Roshan has become the latest Bollywood actor to support Akshay Kumar starrer Rustom. This is not to say that he was only promoting Rustom. In fact, he promoted his own movie Mohenjo Daro along with Rustom on Twitter. However, Hrithik didn’t forget to mention Rustom and cites his ‘friendship’ with Hrithik for doing so. He shared on Twitter,”#MohenjoDaro is just 4 days away. And so is #Rustom (wink) @akshaykumar #dostiKiHaiToNibhaniPadegi.”
Akshay was prompt to acknowledge this friendly gesture from Hrithik. Akshay made a witty remark on Twitter, “Bas kar pagle ab rulayega kya 😂😂😂 Get ready with your popcorn guys, entertaining weekend ahead 😀.” We have to agree that Akshay was at his funniest best here.
Both Hrithik and Akshay will have their movies’ releases on August 12. While Mohenjo Daro starring Hrithik Roshan is a period drama set in Indus Valley civilisation, Rustom starring Akshay Kumar is a suspense thriller based on sensational Nanavati case.
Now this is not something we often come across in Bollywood. Actors often make headlines not only for their cut-throat rivalries but also for box-office clashes. Sometimes an urgency to grab the biggest pie of box-office collections can turn ugly and sour. Our heroes who sometimes enjoy the status of demi-gods among ignorant masses are reduced to mere selfish, insecure human beings. Remember the tiff between Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn. Ajay’s Son of Sardaar and SRK’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan were releasing at the same time and Ajay faced problems to get sufficient screens for his movie.

Now this friendly exchange of tweets between Akshay and Hrithik is surely a shift from that. Don’t you agree ?
