Hrithik Roshan gets nostalgic as Super 30 turns 4, watch him learn Bhojpuri in old video
Hrithik Roshan celebrated four years of his film Super 30. The actor learned Bhojpuri accent to play the character of Patna-based teacher, Anand Kumar, in the film.
Hrithik Roshan played the lead role in Super 30. From the beginning, Hrithik Roshan has been known for his Greek god looks and flawless dance moves. The filmmakers in Hindi cinema have mostly focused on these aspects of Hrithik’s personality. However, it was films like Super 30 and Guzaarish that gave Hrithik a chance to get out of his quintessential action-hero avatar and flex his acting skills. As Super 30 completes four years of release today, the actor took to Instagram to share how it has left a deep imprint on him.
Hrithik shared multiple shots from the film Super 30 and wrote, “Some films leave a deep imprint as an actor and a collaborator. Super 30 for me is an experience lived, one I will forever cherish. 4 years…#Super30.”

Hrithik had to learn a Bhojpuri accent for the film. Anand Kumar, the teacher on whose life Super 30 was inspired, taught the actor the same. In a hilarious old video, we can see Hrithik learning a Bhojpuri accent from Anand. The video begins with Hrithik trying to speak the word ‘situation’ in a Bhojpuri accent. When he is asked to give an example of a situation in Bhojpuri accent, he hilariously reveals how he is hungry but no one can sense his hunger pangs.
Super 30 was based on the life of Patna-based teacher Anand Kumar, who taught underprivileged kids for free and helped them secure a coveted Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) seat. The film was directed by Vikas Bahl and also saw Mrunal Thakur in a lead role.
