“John Abraham’s action rocks, ” is what a viewer told us after watching the first show of Force 2 on Day One of its release. And if indications from viewers are anything to go by, it seems producer Vipul Shah has a winner on hands. A multiplex that we visited in the morning saw a crowd of around 20 people trooping in to watch the first show. Clearly, the effects of demonetisation are yet to recede but that situation wasn’t as bad as last week when Rock On 2 saw just three people turning up to watch the first show.
While audience interest in movies still continues to remain low, the good news is that those who chose to watch Force 2 are not exactly ruing their decision. The smartly packaged movie has all the right ingredients of action, drama and thrilling elements to keep viewers engaged.
“Force 2 is perhaps one of the most stylish action movies I have seen in recent times. I was expecting the usual over-the-top Rohit Shetty type action sequences but I was pleasantly surprised to see raw and real action on display,” said a viewer.
Watch | Force 2 audience reaction
A female member of the audience opined, “Usually action movies are packed with bloodshed and gore. But this one was unlike all those movies. The action is not too violent. It is something that will entertain you well.”
John scored brownie points for playing his action image well. “John is fantastic in the film. It’s all action and that is what we were expecting from John and he hasn’t disappointed us at all. ”
Sonakshi’s performance received decent appreciation as well. But the man who made the difference and created a mega impression was Tahir Raj Bhasin. “He is a class apart. We saw a shade of his villainy in Mardaani. His role and acting in Force 2 is completely different. He holds your gaze as the villain in the film. He was just mind-blowing,” said another viewer.
While the story was not something that many found to be too novel, it was the treatment that kept them hooked. “There is no unnecessary romance or songs in the film. Everything is to the point. The movie keeps you engaged throughout.”
With the word of mouth for the film having begun on a positive note, we hope Force 2 will have enough ‘Force’ to give the audience a break from bank and ATM queues and get them back to theatres.
